I am writing this for purpose of taking a job offer from Ireland for the purpose of migration. Currently, I am an Electrical engineer at the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB), Sri Lanka, and worked as an Electrical & Utility maintenance Engineer \u2013 at Unilever Sri Lanka with a total of 11 years of Electrical Engineering experience.
\nDuring my career in Unilever Sri Lanka (worked in an Instant tea factory that run 24hr of 365 days) for more than 3 years, I was responsible for the Installation & Maintenance of Electrical system and utility systems such as Chillers, Air Compressors, Boilers, Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP), UPS system, Lightning protection & Earthing etc. Moreover, I was appointed as KPI reporting of the Energy, Water, and Maintenance activity pillar of TPM & ETP performance. Furthermore, I have experience in managing the facility services for the building of the factory including. Also, I have worked as an Accredited Energy Manager for Unilever Sri Lanka accredited by the Sustainable Energy Authority (Sri Lankan government authority) & won the National Energy Efficiency Gold award in 2014 because of the excellent level of reduction of energy & emission. I have been involved in energy conservation, process improvement, safety improvement, etc, and received many appreciations for delivering the target on time within the budget for outstanding contribution to the Unilever Sri Lanka business in 2014.
\nIn my career at CEB for more than 7 years, as an Electrical Engineer, I have worked as an Electrical Engineer in the Distribution Sector by providing Construction and Maintenance of the Distribution network including 33kV,11kV, and LV. Especially, I have handled projects related to Medium Voltage (MV) Transformers, Laying of Underground cable, Installation of Load Break Switches (33kV & 11kV), Earthing improvement, etc.
\nDuring my studies at the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka, under MSc & BSc (Hon) in Electrical Engineering I have opted for modules relating to Electrical engineering with Project management, Energy conservation, Renewable energy, HVAC, Lightning protection and Earthing, Insulation Co-ordination, Energy Efficiency Demand management & Conservation and have achieved excellent results relevant to the project-driven activities.
\nAs you will see from my CV I have spent more than 10 years in Electrical, H.V.A.C., Purified Water, Compressed Air, Steam, Electrical Distribution, and general building services, Projects, and in many engineering roles and followed more academic & practical continuous updating training programs to ensure new dynamic challenges.
\nI have experience in on-site & office (Hybrid) engineering roles in a self-driving vehicle.
\nIn my career, I have been involved many health and safety improvement activities and worked under reasonable OH&S regulations. Therefore, I have more than 10-year experience as a maintenance engineer in working well-updated OH&S environments including risk assessment, permit-to-work systems, PPE, Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) systems, double earthing systems, work in confined spaces, Work at height, identification Hazzard & rectification by tag system, SBO, Reporting safety KPI, etc.
\nI am very interested in applying for Engineering related jobs because I enjoy challenges and have always found problem-solving very satisfying by using my experience. Furthermore, I am looking to migrate to Ireland and give my maximum contribution to the organization that offers me the opportunity.
