In my former position as Asst. Production Manager at Celogen Lanka Private Limited, I was responsible for every area of manufacture, from ensuring that the equipment ran properly to supervising the production of the final product. I also managed a team of 50 employees and was responsible for scheduling, training, and motivating them to achieve the best results.
After graduating from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura with a BSc. in Applied Sciences, I entered the Pharmaceutical Production Industry. I began my career at Morison PLC as a Pharmaceutical Technologist and was rapidly promoted to Production Executive. After completing my bachelor’s degree, I earned a master’s degree in Manufacturing Management from the University of Colombo in Sri Lanka while developing my professional career. I consider manufacturing a puzzle, and I work tirelessly to ensure that each piece fits. It may be tough to balance cost assessments and production deadlines, but I have always reached or surpassed the company’s objectives.
On a regular basis, I met with staff members to discuss the present and desired course of action. By listening to the workforce, I was able to identify the process’s flaws. • Deliver the production output on time by utilizing needed human and material resources • Establish the euGMP quality procedures on factory premises • Assess the resource requirement and create a timescale for production • Supervise production processes and the work of junior staff • Escalate production-related reports, and requirements to the top management • Organize the repair and routine maintenance of production equipment • Arrange relevant training sessions for the factory employees • Implement the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 (OHAS) quality systems on the shop floor • Compilation of SOPs and qualification documents related to the factory operation as per the GMP requirements

•Focus on step-by-step training of each unit operation such as granulation, lubrication, compression, coating, etc. •Perform Process Validation for certain generic drug products •Identify the defects of tablets and prevent or resolve those issues. •Perform equipment qualification for certain compression machines •Practically training for each machine in line with SOP. •Testing chemical and physical quality parameters of raw materials, intermediate products, and final products of the tablet, liquid, and cosmetic manufacturing processes •Assisting with daily quality control and quality assurance activities of the tablet, liquid and cosmetic manufacturing processes.
