When I saw your advertisement, I decided to apply immediately. Because personally I felt
that I’m the correct fit for your job. As a mechanical engineer for more than seven years, I
have worked in maintenance as well as in project implementation. I am familiar with
commissioning and upgrading various mechanical and other systems. I have led multiple
teams as well as been involved in planning and initiating various projects some of which
involve outside contractors. I take pride in the fact that I have started as a junior engineer and
worked my way into management which gives me a good sense about discrepancies in
documentation.
As a Health and safety professional I’m familiar with ISO 45001, and have implemented the
said standards successfully at my work places. Also I have actively participated in devising
company safety policies as a health and safety adviser. I have a vast array of experience in
both sectors ranging from the AeroSpace industry to the chemical industry and have carried
out HAZOP, HAZID and FEMA studies in said sectors.
I bring to the table 10 years of experience in the Sri Lanka Air Force as a commissioned
officer and hailing from a military family that goes back three generations, I have very high
standards for myself which in turn would reflect in my work ethic as a neat, hardworking
individual. I consider myself a born leader and I have held many key appointments/ roles at a
very young age. I believe my problem solving skills, negotiation skills, human resource
management along with my engineering skills makes me a valuable asset to your
