Dear sir,

I am an experienced Mechanical Engineer with an extensive background in the Manufacturing Industry in Sri Lanka and willing to expose myself to an international context . In my most recent job, I am responsible for leading a team of more than 100 employees and I have experience in employing modern management methods and principles in guaranteeing maximum productivity and enhancing communications across various departments.

I have completed a master’s in Manufacturing Management offered by the University of Colombo. And also, I have completed my degree offered by the University of Wolver Hampton UK in mechanical Engineering. My diploma in the field of Mechanical Engineering from the Institute of Engineering Technology was Four years and a full time.

During my on-job training periods, I was able to gain a good knowledge on hydraulic, pneumatic systems, casting, metal processing process, plastic manufacturing process, refrigeration machinery installation & servicing, cold room construction, boiler maintenance & servicing, installation & servicing of machinery like injection molding, CNC and weighing machines.
As a process executive, I am tasked to develop and production of new samples, drafting new innovative process ideas, maintain the efficiency of production in order to reduce costs, weekly Meeting with department managers to ensure monthly production targets, and implementing AM, JIT, Lean, sustainable manufacturing concepts to the plant, and my scope of control is about 100 employees. During my previous job as a Shift engineer, I was tasked to do day to day planned maintenance activities as well as breakdown maintenance also where there is a tight production. Attending the breakdowns immediately and minimizing any production loss, leading the maintenance team with prioritizing the breakdowns. During my position as a Mechanical Engineer at Penthouse Engineers (Pvt) Ltd, I am tasked with planning and scheduling of jobs, preparing quotations for suppliers and costing reports for management and monitoring the fabrication process is aligned with targeted and leading to take maximum of fabrication team and sub-contractors.
I have a strong work ethic, the aptitude to handle multiple projects simultaneously, and a yearning to never stop gaining knowledge.
