A passionate registered Nurse with 18 years of experience in the field. I have completed a 3-year Diploma in Nursing accredited by the Ministry of Health, Sri Lanka, and began my career as a Nursing Officer at Castle Street Hospital for women in Colombo, Sri Lanka in 2007. During that period, I gained vast experience in the premature baby unit outpatient department, emergency treatment unit, and vaccination unit until 2011. Furthermore, I worked as a Community Nurse at Dental Institute, Sri Lanka up until 2015, providing care for preschool children as well as pregnant mothers that needed dental treatments. Thereafter, I got transferred to the National Hospital, Sri Lanka, where I was assigned to the Special Unit for various surgeries, and the Orthopedic Unit in the outpatient department focused on wound dressing, drawing blood samples, rabies unit, and the reception section. Moving forward, I currently work in the Anti-Filarial Unit at Anti-Filariasis Campaign, Sri Lanka, providing care for the people in communities covered by the clinic by dispensary medication. In addition, educating patients on health programs and handling statics procedures.

My current aspiration is to provide better health care for the communities that need medical attention. I started by pursing my BSc (Hons) in Nursing that will help strengthen my education background and with the experience I am gaining it will excel my skills to help patients with better care whilst solidifying my career as a dedicated nurse.
