As a Barman of "The Avenue" Restaurant - Preparing and serve a selection of wines spirits and mixed drinks from the menu while ensuring proper pouring, mixing and blending according to established recipes. - Ensure stock rotation in the bar is managed on a FIFO basis. Ensure all bar counters/ fridges and equipment are maintained and kept clean throughout service. - Service and take orders from guests seated at the bar area offering interesting, and vivid descriptions of each item's, origin taste and preparation methods; maintain a working knowledge if liquors, wines, ports, Armagnac's eay de vies, cognacs and specialty drinks. - Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guests concerns and request. - Properly and accurately close guest checks; process cash and credit card payments; properly settle voided checks or complimentary items. - Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors. - Maintain bars, wine cellar and dispense stores upkeep. - Taking monthly stock and ensure that beverage movement is controlled and consumption is charged. - Serve food items in the bar area. - Cut fruit and prepare beverage garnishments.
As a Trainee Barman at "RIU Hotels and Resorts", - Deliver food from kitchen to the guest ensuring accuracy and timelines. - Assist in clearing, cleaning and set-up of tables, chairs, linens, china, glass and silver for service in an unobtrusive manner. - Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and request. - Assist in stocking linens, china, glass, silver. - Assist in preparation of Cocktails, mocktails, coffees, juices. - Works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors. - Ensure customers are enjoying their meals and drinks and take action to correct any problems. - Complete opening, running and closing duties, clean and ready for customers at all times. - Daily counting of all Liquor stock.
