Key Responsibilities of Cost Accountant

As a Cost Accountant, you will take on various financial tasks, including:

• Product Costing & Inventory Management: Ensure accurate costing and control of inventory levels.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare debtor and creditor aging reports and other financial statements.
• Accounts Management: Effectively manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Petty Cash Management: Oversee petty cash transactions and reconciliations.
• Bank Reconciliation: Maintain accuracy in bank statements and transactions.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial regulations and policies.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist with budgeting processes and financial forecasting.
• Audit Support: Provide necessary support during audits.

Preferred Qualifications for Cost Accountant Position

Candidates with experience in VAT, excise, and tax regulations will have an advantage. A background in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector is preferred.
