Unilever Ceytea Factory is 24hr, 365 days operation factory, fully owned by Unilever Sri Lanka, produces export-based 100% concentrated Black & Green tea powder for Lipton Ireland for manufacturing well-known refreshment Lipton Ice Tea. • Responsible for all maintenance and installation of the Electrical System. • Responsible for the all-maintenance activities & Installation of utilities of the factory, such as Chillers, Air Compressors, Boilers, Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP), UPS system, Lightning protection & Earthing etc. • Responsible for operation, maintenance & improvement of the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP). • Managed totally 45 Nos employees in factory who were under Engineering, Utility, ETP team. • Responsible for maintenance of all buildings & factory-owned bungalows. • Report KPI-related energy, water, and emission to the global Unilever team and local government authority. • Plan and Execute Capital Expenditure projects related to Electrical, Utility, ETP and Building maintenance. • Responsible for factory premises lightening protection and Earthing system. Designed and installed a fully covered lightning protection system and earthing system to ensure safe a work environment with factory premises. • Responsible for the Maintenance pillar of the TPM system of the factory. • Worked with the well-defined safety regulations permit to work system, confined space Risk assessment procedure (Task Hazard Analyse (THA), Process Hazard Analyse (PHA), and Location Risk Assessment (LRA)), SBO procedure, SAM procedure, etc. • Coordinated engineering team through TPM concept under planned maintenance pillar to excellent level. Introduced and practiced Planned Maintenance calendar, MTBF, MTTR, Failure rate, PM/BM ratio, Monthly Rollout plan & its compliance, Kaizen activities (12 step Kaizen), Skill will gap analyze, make continuous training according to skill will gap analyze, Cost tracking system etc. • Successfully installed 10TPH Bio Mass Boiler end of 2014 at Unilever Ceytea factory with UnEneS Team & could able to convert the furnace oil-driven steam production to Eco-friendly steam production. • Executed the project of engineering inventory classification project (ABC, FMS classification) and established inventory bank concept & Days on hand (DOH) could be reduced from 45 days to 23 days. • Installed successfully 800kVAR Capacitor Bank system to reduce the kVA demand. • Executed110V portable tool usage within the factory to ensure a safe working environment. • Introduced more Condition Based Monitoring activities. (Vibration analysis, Thermal imaging of electrical systems, PSC testing, RCD testing, Earth Loop testing, PM for MCC). • Delivered more than LKR 100Mn (USD 2.8Mn) YTD 2014 energy saving projects (Electrical Load shifting, IE3 motor replacement, Compressed air pressure optimization Project, Evaporator chamber insulation project, Boiler tuning, Boiler fire tube cleaning schedule, Electricity, Furnace oil, diesel monitoring system and reporting, etc). • Training the factory employees operation & maintenance of the Effluent Treatment & Utility and Electrical system.

Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) is a government-owned institute that holds six licenses to Generate, Transmit and Distribute electricity power throughout Sri Lanka. Serving the nation since 1969 by maintaining an efficient, coordinated, and economical system for over 6 million consumers in Sri Lanka. In Distribution, the whole network is divided into four distribution Divisions & I am working in Distribution Division -04. • Execute Preventive maintenance & 24hr on-call duty for breakdown maintenance of 33kV network of Distribution Division 4. • Initiated & operated of The Distribution transformer (33kV/0.4kV) maintenance unit preventive maintenance, and breakdown maintenance in-house and onsite. • Installation of 33kV, 11kV load Break Switches and any other switches in the network. • Construct & Maintain 33kV, 11kV Under Ground Cable & Aerial Bundle Conductors network. • Improved the system reliability of the 33kV network by rehabilitating the more than 225 distribution substation (33kV/0.4kV) and more than 150km 33kV line. • Conducted the ADB fund-driven project of identification of PCB-contaminated oil transformer by a collection of the oil sample, and testing. • Initiated & functioning the 33kV and 11kV Underground cable repairing team. • Involve actively as chairman & member of the Technical Evaluation Committee (TEC) of the many of the procurements in CEB as per the guideline of the National Procurement Guidelines and International Procurement Guidelines. • Conduct Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) of the procurement. Participated in foreign & local. • Train the Earthing, Lightning protection, MV line maintenance practices, Distribution transformer maintenance, and protection, Under Ground & Aerial Bundle conductor construction & maintenance. • Manage a total of 43 Nos employees in the Engineering team & Stores.
