First of all, thank you for considering me for a potential opportunity. I graduated from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka in 2018 with a second-class upper degree specializing in Civil Engineering. Since then, I have worked on two major foreign-funded projects related to the water and sanitation sector of Sri Lanka.

I began my career in the capacity of a design engineer. Then I worked as a Contract Engineer under the Mahaweli Water Security Investment Program (MWSIP) for 1 year. During my time of being a Contract Engineer, I had the opportunity to deal with contractual matters related to an international consultancy assignment.
Then I joined the National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) of Sri Lanka in August 2019, which is the solely responsible organization for providing safe and clean pipe-borne water and sanitation facilities in Sri Lanka.
During my time at NWSDB, I have been involved in handling contractual matters related to severakl consultancy assignments such as the Feasibility Study of the “Yatimahana” Reservoir project, the Feasibility Study of “The Kal Aru” reservoir project, the EIA study of the “Ambtale” Salinity Barrier, Water intake construction at Dyrabaa Reservoir, etc. Therefore I believe that I will be perfectly suits for your organization and I am sure that I could deliver an efficacious service.

Undergraduate Industrial Traiing at the National Water Supply and Drainage Board
Outline: Work experience in designing small scale water treatment facilities for rural areas-Site reconnaissance and setting out -Prepare preliminary site layouts to do initial plant sizing -Sizing estimation of treatment components -Structural design of water treatment components based on British Standards (BS 8110, BS 8007) -Prepare AutoCAD drawings and 3D models (Revit, Sketch Up) -Prepare Engineer's estimates and BOQs
Outline: Work experience in handling contractual issues related to a large scale development project funded by an international funding agency- Prepare contractual letters, reports and payment reports - Handle monthly payments of the design consultant - Coordinate with the ADB officials regarding timely disbursement of funds - Prepare variation orders related to the consultancy assignments
